Our debut!

6 years of Incognito Frames!!

Nithya Akka 's wedding on June 7th, 2014 in a mandapam in Chennai was our first official wedding photography assignment for incognito frames, it was on the same week when I decided to open a facebook page by the incognito frames, in fact, I don't even remember how I came up with this name "incognito frames" and many of my friends and clients have told me to tell the name sounds cool. I guess I have a knack coining good names to my friends who are starting something new and I had to come up with something unique and new. Well, coming back to our main topic, The wedding was a 2-day multicultural wedding though the main tradition that was followed on the day was the Tamil Brahmin tradition. Though I had experience in shooting weddings, especially tambrahm weddings before and my team was more experienced in shooting weddings for various studios in Chennai, but the very idea of creating images for my own brand was something excited.

I thoroughly enjoyed every picture I clicked and thought each picture deserves the best wedding photography award and I remember even shortlisting over two dozen images from the wedding to submit for wedding competitions but dint proceed any further since I had no clue how to submit an image for competitions, I even though someone will award us just by uploading images in my website or my facebook page.

Looking back at the images we took 6 years back, we think, we did a decent job in capturing the fleeting moments, which to date we believe is more important and taking couple portraits before or after the wedding. We have been sticking to the photojournalist approach in capturing not just weddings any event for that matter.

“The blushing bride” was our goto image when it comes to showcasing our wedding photography skills. This also happens to be one of the earliest posted work on the internet showing incognito frame's skills if not the first picture ever, I still remember coming back from the wedding hall and copy all the images in my desktop and started processing the images and uploading images on my flicker page without taking a break.

This month the couple celebrated their 6th anniversary together, we continue to be their official photographer for all the weddings, birthdays, and other events in their family.

Trivia

  • Even though we din’t win a single award, we were booked for our next event during the shoot of the first day of the wedding itself! Pretty quick for someone who is shooting their first official wedding.

  • We later shot Nithya akka’s baby shower ceremony the same year and went on to shot a small indoor shoot for their son, followed by his first birthday bash the next year

  • The latest one being the 2nd son’s birthday celebration in July among plenty of weddings and birthday celebrations in their family

Though our favorite weddings keep changing every year and we no longer use their wedding photographs anymore to promote our work, “Subramanian weds Nithya” will always be a special one in our hearts which opened the grand gates to all the beautiful weddings and events that we have done.
